What the credibility page actually means.

This is the same information as the Credibility receipt, written for parents — no jargon, no statistics lecture. If you want the full numbers and sources, use the receipt page.

The Credibility page shows the real facts, figures, and data that power your student's Benchmark score. We combine public national college database information with verified, school-specific admissions requirements (the Common Data Set) to create a realistic picture of how selective colleges evaluate applicants. To make sure our formulas actually work, we backtest them against thousands of real-world, student-reported college decisions to verify that accepted students consistently score higher than those who were waitlisted or denied.

Think of this page as our "ingredients label." While it includes a lot of statistics and academic details for transparency, it all boils down to one simple goal: giving you a reliable, honest, and data-backed planning tool. It is not a guarantee or a crystal ball, but a directional compass to help you understand where your student stands and how to improve their college competitiveness.
